Tides of Passage
Wind in the Tides
Held between Currents
I chose these pieces to showcase the different techniques I explored on canvas.
Tides of Passage introduces copper tones that convey energy and contrast. I used heavy texture and metallic accents to highlight the subtle way light reflects across the surface.
In Wind in the Tides, I wanted to demonstrate a more fluid technique, using smooth brushstrokes and lighter texture to create a sense of movement and energy.
Held Between Currents is one of my favorites. I particularly enjoy the swirls and layered composition, and I had a lot of fun creating it. I was pleased with how well it complements the other two works, serving as a transitional piece between the contrasting techniques. With its soft brushstrokes and minimal texture, it presents a more subtle and graceful flow.
